Ashton and Justin: Newburgh Engagement | Evansville Indiana Wedding Photographer

I shot Ashton and Justin's engagement photos along the Newburgh riverfront, and as they strolled along the pathways downtown with their two pups, Justin looked affectionately at Ashton with so much adoration in his eyes.

Justin proposed to Ashton on the beach in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and it rained right during the proposal so when it started to drizzle during their engagement session, they both knew it was meant to be! As sunset was quickly approaching, the golden rays of light shined through the light sprinkle of rain that was delightfully similar to the day they got engaged. I'm thrilled to share the outcome: these dreamy romantic images!

Ashton and Justin, photographing your engagement session was an honor. Your devotion to each other and your excitement to build a life with each other is absolutely captivating. I wish you both a lifetime of love, happiness, and puppies.

JoBeth and Jake | Kentucky Lake Engagement Photography

JoBeth and Jake held hands as they and Tank, their adorable service dog, made their way down the winding pathways at Kentucky Lake. Jake made JoBeth giggle with every different pose, and their love definitely shone through in their pictures. JoBeth told me before the session, "Jake has the ability to make me feel like the prettiest girl in the world. I never knew true love, till this man." As soon as I read that about them I completely melted and couldn't wait to shoot their engagement session!

We shot JoBeth and Jake's photos at Kentucky Lake, and it was an absolutely perfect evening! The sun glistened on the water as we watched sailboats go past, and JoBeth and Jake beamed with such pure love for one other, resulting in amazingly beautiful photos! They love to spend their free time at the lake house, so it was definitely appropriate that we held the session in their favorite spot!

JoBeth and Jake, I loved shooting your engagement session, an getting to know you both (and Tank!) a little bit better! I can't wait to show you the rest of your photos, and I'm so excited for your wedding!

Emily and Zeb | Evansville Indiana Wedding Photographer

Zeb choked back tears as Emily walked down the aisle towards him. He kissed her hand and she grinned from ear to ear while they anxiously awaited the moment they would officially become man and wife.

Emily and Zeb met at USI while they were both studying to be biology majors. They bonded over study sessions, and became close friends. They eventually fell for each other, and I think they are a perfect example of how beautiful falling in love with your best friend, and lab partner, can be!

Emily and Zeb had their ceremony at the gorgeous St. Anthony Catholic Church in Evansville. I love shooting here because of the high ceilings and gorgeous decor! After the ceremony, we headed to Bauerhaus for the reception. Not only is the inside of the building great for photos, the outside and surrounding land is covered in gorgeous spots to sneak in some private photos with the bride and groom!

Emily and Zeb, I am so thrilled that I had the chance to be a part of documenting your love story! I hope your honeymoon was magical, and I can't wait to watch your love grow even stronger! I wish you all the love and happiness in the world, and I can't wait to show you your photos!

Katherine and Daniel | Evansville Indiana Wedding Photographer

We walked Daniel towards Katherine with a makeshift blindfold, making sure we didn't ruin the mystery with a sneak preview. As they kept their eyes shut tight, they squeezed each others hands and prayed together, preparing for the big moment to come. Today they vowed to spend forever together!

Katherine and Daniel were married at Victoria National Golf Course in Newburgh, Indiana, and the weather could not have been more perfect. I love shooting there because of the gorgeous scenery, unique spots like the foot bridges, and the gorgeous natural light inside and out! Katherine's an interior designer so the room was over the top perfect, adorned with a single rose at every place setting.  A small group of their closest friends and family attended and surrounded them with love. Katherine and Daniel's big day couldn't have been more perfect.

The two met after Katherine's mom introduced them, which is a good reminder to always listen to your mother. Katherine wanted to make sure we included her adorable dog, Odie, in some of her wedding photos so we, of course, got the cutest pictures of those two before the ceremony. Katherine and Daniel decided against having a bridal party, instead including their friends and family; keeping the ceremony and reception simple, beautiful, and intimate, just like their love.

Katherine and Daniel, your love is so honest, real, and pure.  I loved getting to know you both, and documenting your wedding day was such an honor.  I wish you nothing but happiness in the years to come!

Lacey and Jon Maternity | Evansville Indiana Photography

Lacey and Jon have been married for three years next Monday! It seems like just yesterday I was photographing their engagement and wedding! When Lacey let me know she was pregnant, I was over the moon for her! They'd been dreaming of a sweet baby, and these two are going to make amazing parents.

I feel so blessed to be photographing all the excitement as they're preparing for sweet Ava's arrival. Lacey’s my cousin, so we’ve known each other forever and I’m personally praying that this sweet baby girl has gorgeous curls like her momma! Lacey was the most adorable baby!!

Lacey and Jon are the perfect pair; they’re silly, sweet, and their love for one another is contagious. Their commitment and dedication to each other is going to make them amazing parents! I know their sweet baby girl is going to be surrounded with so much love!

Lacey and Jon, I'm so happy for you two! I can't wait for Ava's arrival in September!

Elizabeth and Brad | Evansville Indiana Wedding Photography

We met with Elizabeth as she and her bridesmaids put on their finishing touches. Elizabeth gushed about how excited she was to open Brad's letter, and to meet him at the end of the aisle. Watching these two get married, I just couldn't stop myself from smiling the entire time. Good Shepherd Church was filled with so much love, not only from Elizabeth and Brad, but all of their friends and family too!

After the ceremony we headed out to The Discovery Lodge for the reception! I adore shooting at Burdette Park because of all the amazing light! One of my favorite parts of getting to know my couples is finding out their love story. Elizabeth and Brad have been friends for years. At first they told everyone, and themselves, that they were just best friends. But slowly things changed and they eventually started dating. They've been in love ever since! Elizabeth and Brad are both amazing people, but together they're perfect. I believe marrying your best friend is most people's dream!  These two are lucky enough to be living out that dream each day!

Elizabeth and Brad, I am so overjoyed for both of you! I am so thrilled you chose me to help you document your special day, and I can't wait to see what life has in store for both of you!

Sara and Nathan Maternity | Evansville Indiana Photography

Sara's about one month out from her due date and I couldn't be more excited to meet her little mister, I loved getting to spend the day with her!

After we had lunch we headed up to her house to hang out for a bit before the session.  She walked me through his nursery and we Oooed and Awwed over every adorable tiny outfit! We chatted about what his name might be and how fast he's growing. I can't wait to watch her become a Momma, and I already know she's going to teach me so much.

Sara and Nathan live in the country on a beautiful lake!  We photographed around their property and at Sara's Dad's house. What a perfect place for a little boy to grow up; surrounded by family with room to run! This time last year these two had just purchased that house and were prepping for their wedding; oh how much can change in a year! Now they're preparing for their sweet boy!!

Sara, the past year has brought so much excitement and so many blessings! I'm so thankful to get to do life with you! You and Nathan are going to make such amazing parents!

Chase and Judy Wedding Reception | Evansville Indiana Wedding Photography

I walked into the wedding reception and Judy was beaming with joy, which is pretty much her natural state. I noticed Chase on the other side of the room quietly watching his wife and peacefully mingling with family. That man is always looking her way with eyes full of love!

Since the wedding in December, Judy had cut her hair and picked out the most beautiful reception dress, which made me totally excited to get some more really amazing wedding photos! We headed out to take pictures in front of the historic Grey Hound Station, and I couldn't help but think these two looked like a beautiful vintage postcard-- up-cycled extra stylish! My favorite thing about these two is their love and flare!

After toasts, first dances and a nibble of cake the dance floor opened up! When the music tempo picked up, Chase instantly spun Judy around making her laugh in a way that made the room light up! Dancing is Judy's jam and Chase matches her step for step! These two are the perfect balance like the the sun and moon or the ocean and the shore!

To the new Mr. and Mrs. Savage, Thanks for letting me share in year of wedding festivities! Its been so much fun!

Mr. and Mrs. Savage gave an incredibly touching toast to married couple! Celebrating your only son's marriage calls for tears, cheers and so much love!

Watching My Best Friend Become a Bride | Evansville Indiana Wedding Photographer

I'm photographing my best friend's maternity session today, and before I get into how excited I am to be an auntie and what an amazing mother I know this gem of a woman is going to be, I first wanted to throw back and talk about how magical it felt to watch her become a wife.

When Sara's happy she glows, and on her wedding day literally she radiated happiness. The kind that's contagious, and makes you feel warm and fuzzy. She was a stunning bride.

With misty eyes and a full heart I watched as she promised her heart to a man that complements her perfectly; they’re a team.  I snuck in a couple sunset pictures of the two of them, and loved watching the joy.  As she threw her head back and giggled, I thought about what a blessing it is to know your best friend has found the love of her life.

As a photographer sometimes its hard for me to be a wedding guest, and at the reception Sara teased me to put down my camera and be present.  For most of the night I did, but there were a couple moments where I had to freeze that magical joy.  '

Now in the weeks to come, brace yourself for an abundance of adorable pictures of my favorite little growing family. I can't wait for him to make his arrival; she's due on my birthday! Eeeeeeeeeee!

Sara, you’re going to be an amazing momma. I know you and Nathan are going to love that baby with the same fierceness that you love each other, and I’m so happy for you. I know watching you become a mother is going to be as enchanting as watching you become a wife. Cheers to the next season and even more joy!

Taylor and Andrew Engagement | Evansville Indiana Engagement Photography

Taylor and Andrew looked at each other and immediately started giggling. These two were constantly smiling and laughing with each other the entire shoot, as a result so many of my favorite pictures are candids!

We started the shoot in downtown Newburgh, and had absolutely amazing weather! The plants and trees there create some of my favorite backdrops. Taylor and Andrew were friends before they dated, which makes their connection even stronger. They bonded over stargazing on Taylor's parents' land, so we photographed some of the session there to celebrate those memories.

Taylor and I both love horses, and I was so happy when she told me she wanted to include some of her family horses in the shoot! Taylor jumped the fence with ease, even in her dress and heels. The horses' curiosity kept them close while Taylor and Andrew laughed and danced in the field, and with gorgeous lighting, green pastures, and the horses weaving in and out of the background, it was straight out of a dream!

Taylor and Andrew, I loved getting to know you both! This shoot was so much fun, and I can't wait to shoot your wedding!
